BAW, the Beijing Automobile Works co.,Ltd, shows off its off-road style SUV B40 at the ongoing Beijing Auto Show, which lasts from April 23rd to May 2nd. With the first glance at it, the most striking point to you might be its similarity to Jeep Wrangler. B40 was presented by BAW as an concept back in 2008, and two years later its production model finally made debut. It’s off-road style has caught lots of attention from Chinese consumers. It’s expected to come to the market in second quarter this year, but there’s still no information about the price. It packs a 2.4L engine, 5-speed manual transmission, with 141 horse power and 217N/m highest torque at 3000-4000 rpm.

Haima S3 will hit the market soon

The time is very close now for Haima to bring its first SUV S3 to the market. The car will hit the market around the Beijing Car Show in April. It packs a Haima’s own brand engine HA-VVT-2.0, with 5 speed manual transmission. It’s said the company will bring the auto transmission version after this manual transmission version launched some time later. It gets three models launched this time, with price ranging from 120,000 to 150,000 Yuan. We all know Haima’s corporation history with Mazda, and some sort of the Mazda style still can be found in this car’s design.

BYD to sell electric cars in USA

BYD CEO Wang Chuanfu says on the Detroit Auto Show that BYD is going to launch its electric cars to the USA market in the second half of this year. According to what he said, BYD will focus on developing electric cars, and the USA market is very important to the company.

Reported by netease, electric E6 will be the first car BYD to bring to USA. The price would be slightly higher than 40,000 dollars. The company is also planning to export its plug-in hybrid F6DM to USA in 2011, and sells at a price of less than 30,000 dollars.

BYD S6 is one of the BYD cars planned for the upcoming new year 2010 . I guess you may have ever heard of this car before. Back in March this year when the design of this car was just revealed, it caused lots of talks on Internet immediately, because of its similarity to the Lexus RX series. Now 9 months have passed and it seems the launch time has been very close. BYD S6 was spotted while doing driving test with little camouflage. Or we can just say that the car needs no camouflage at all. because there’s almost no change between the real car and the design that’s revealed months ago, and the car looks extremely similar to the Lexus RX350.

Chery Riich G5 now on sale

About two month ago, The maker Chery company ever put Riich G5 for a tested on Nürburgring. The car made an awesome result of 8:86, which made it listed on the Nürburgring hall of fame. But sadly the tested car was not a product model at all, but had many upgraded parts, compared to the product models. Today Riich G5 was officially launched in China. The currently available models bring a Chery brand 2.0T engine, with 170 horsepower and 235 N/m torque at 1900rpm. It gets three versions, and price is ranging from 142,800 (about $21,000 USD ) Yuan to 179.800 Yuan.

Haima Cupid hits the market

Haima company today officially launched its new car Cupid to the market. Haima Cupid gets four versions with different prices, ranging from 53,900 Yuan (about $7,926 USD) to 65,900 Yuan. All the versions comes with manual transmission. It packs a 1.3-liter 4A90S or a 1.5L 4A91S engine, depending on the configurations, with corresponding 92 or 105 horsepower and 124 or 141 N/m torque.

One-off Ferrari 599 GTB China Limited Edition put up to auction

Ferrari recently introduced a very special version of its 599 GTB in China. This version only has one single unit available all over the world. It’s boasted that the design of the car was inspired by the Chinese long-history traditional china art. The paint of the car was prominent work from a famous Chinese artist called Wu Hao. Hmm, to be honest, , I fail to tell how good the china art on this car is because of the lacking of connoisseurship for art, but I do see that this car has a china look. This car will be put up to auction on an art party hold in Beijing on the evening of November 3.

Today Greatwall launch its long scheduled mini SUV called Greatwall mini SUV, which is formerly named as Hover M1 mini SUV. Greatwall mini SUV has two wheel drive and four wheel drive two versions, and six models, priced from $6,308 to $8,367. The car gets a miniature body, packing a 1.3-liter VVT engine with 91 horsepower and 118 N/m torque at 4200 rpm. The top speed can reach at 160km/h. Haima M2: A Mazda2 Clone

Haima M2 was unveiled on the Shanghai car show. Since then Haima M2 was frequently talked about because of its resembling to mazda2, but for sure this car model is not based on mazda platform. Mazda was previously in a joint venture with Haima, and successfully built two popular car modes Protege and Premacy during that period, but there’s no cooporation relationship between them since Mazda withdrawed its capital in 2007. Affter that, Haima continued to build cars imitating from Mazda, Haima3 from Mazda3 and now Haima M2 from mazda2. Other than having a good design, though is copied from mazda, the Haima brand cars also do well on performance. But the most important part to make Haima succeed is that they offer very competive price. Haima M2 has two modes, one with 1.3L engine, the other with 1.5L engine. Haima M2 will hit the market this year and the expected price is 6-80,000 RMB.

BYD T6: The Porsche Cayenne Clone

BYD has gained great success in the auto industry as a manufacturers, but we wouldn’t have associated the car in the picture with BYD if there’s no such a clear “BYD” logo on it. This picture has spread widely on internet and caused lots of screams: ooooh, GE ROLLS-ROYCES story happened again! Because this car , BYD T6, resembles Porsche Cayenne very much.

From China’s media it’s comfirmed that this picture was from BYD , leaked from BYD sales department. and they do have a T6 plan. It’s also said that the real BYD T6 do looks similar to a certain extent to Porsche Cayenne, but won’t be as much as the piture shows.

BYD T6 will carry a 2.0-liter engine, and will hit the market in september 2010, and the expected price is 100,000RMB ($14,700).
