Rockchip RK2816 Android-enable chip for PMP
After the RK2808, The Fuzhou based company Rockchip launched another Android-enable chip RK2816. Different from RK2808 that’s designed for tablets and handsets, RK2816 is a reference solution for portable media player.That means, with a RK2816 powered PMP, you are not only able to enjoy videos and music as you did with other ordinary PMPs, but also able to play with thousands of APPs at Android Market. It’s based on a 600Mhz ARM9 processor, and supports 720p videos and HDMI output. Currently we still don’t know which version of Android it supports. Hope we could see RK2816 powered portable media players at the market soon.
