Someone is making comments like ‘I don’t know what’s the use of it except wasting electric power’ below this video on youku.com, but we want to show our admirations. It’s amazing as a device made by a human’s hand just for fun. Steel balls are subtly controlled on three tracks by the device which is powered by an AAA battery. In the 4.15 minutes video, only one ball run out of its track.

Just got my GF to translate the title from youku and she says it means sorter basically like a coin sorting machine , probably the steel balls are weighted different .

    Love it

They aren’t weighted differently. Watch more closely. The first ball fills in the first hole and is “trapped” until another ball (third)rolls OVER it into the second hole, dropping the third ball and releasing the first ball. The second ball rolls UNDER the rail at the start because the rail was flipped up as the first ball rolled over. The second ball rolling under the rail causes the rail to flip back down, letting the third ball roll over it.

    I stand corrected , thanks Nick ;)

Hah yeah I only noticed because I was watching _very_ closely — I really want to build something like this!

Perfect, very glad to see as much of the track and switch as we could (would like to see more of the front part of the see-saw tho)

  • Thank you

There is apparently a bundle to know about this. I consider you made certain good points in features also.
