Aigo MID E500 now on sale, runs Android

Aigo starts to ship its MID E500 today at its home market China. It’s Aigo’s first Android powered MID that’s available in the market. It’s powered by a 600Mhz ARM+dsp dual core processor, a 5 inches touchscreen, 128MB RAM, 8GB or 16GB storage for options, 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is pre-installed with Android 1.5 OS, compatible to  Windows OS, including Windows XP and Windows 7. It’s claimed that its battery life can support video playback for 6 hours which is definitely very impressive if these words are to be believable.It is capable of playing 720 videos,and supports numerous video formats including MKV, RM, RMVB,AVI,MOV, FLV. The price is 1599 Yuan (about $235 USD).

    It definitely can’t run Windows XP or 7, only CE. Full Windows will only run on x86 or x64 CPU, not on an ARM based CPU.

    They probably mean compatibility with XP a W7 (read you can connect the device to your PC with USB cable).

    can you download skype in it? and when you say compatible to windows xp and 7, how does it work? it runs android right?
