MID as a new category appearing on the market has been over a year, but It still fighting for its existence. Because almost all things a MID could do also can be done by a smartphone, but most of them can’t make phone calls and send messages. The most attractive point on this MID Witspod W8 may be that it can make phone calls, but it still lacks of SMS support, so it can’t completely replace your handset. But if you are this kind of people that are seldom to send messages, then it might be your cup of tea.

Witspod w8 is a very nicely built MID, with heavily rounded corners. It’s powered by Maemo OS, packing a 806MHz Marvell PXA 320 processor, a 4.3 inches touchscreen, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, WIFI and CDMA2000 3G connectivity. This MID right now has been available in China, with a pretty nice price 3200 Yuan (about $470 USD ).
