Runwei A50 Windows CE powered device for ebook reading

Runwei A50 is designed for ebook reading, but it’s quite different from the Kindle alike e-readers. It has no electronic paper, but just with a LED to display ebooks, which definitely is not fit for long-time reading. It features a 500Mhz ARM9 processor, a 5 inches 800*480 touchscreen, and 2GB onboard storage, running on Windows CE OS. It can handle a wide range of file formats, including TXT, HTML, PDF, WORD, XLS, PPT, ZIP, CHM, UMD. other than displaying ebooks, it can display videos, audios, and pictures, and comes with some games for you to play.
It’s a pity that this device lacks of Wi-Fi support, or it’ll be more attractable. With out Wi-Fi, it’s really a big challenge for the company to argue the customers to exchange their cash for such a device, though we still don’t know how much it will be charged for.
