Lenovo G455A AMD-based notebook launched in China

Lenovo and AMD company in China jointly announced the release of Lenovo’s AMD-based notebook G455A on a event on Jan 28 Beijing Time. Lenovo G455A is based on AMD Tigris notebook platform, packing a 2.1GHZ AMD Athlon II M320 processor, a 14-inch 1366×768 display, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 Graphics, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB SATA Hard Drive, 0.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, 3 USB ports, a VGA port, a 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Basic OS. It’s 345×235×26.2-35.9mm at size, and 2.3kg at weight. Now it has been on shelves for sale in China, with a price tag 3999 Yuan ( about $588 USD ).

    ARM and AMD are very different!
    very different !
    nothing in common!

    not the characteristics, not the target customers, not the history, not the compatibility – nothing!

    And Windows 7 does not and would never run on ARM !
