Touch G2, another HTC Magic clone that runs Windows Mobile

September 2nd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Mobile

we’ve seen several Android clone phones , but sadly all these phones didn’t run android at all, but run Windows Mobile. this one, touch G2, looking similar to the HTC Magic, is none of exception. The Shanzhai phone Makers definitely have interest to make real android phone, but there’s only a smartphone platform they can rely on. It’s Huawei’s Hisilicon k3 platform, which only supports Windows Mobile. Rockchip’s RK2808 chipset, supports android and has been tested on a  concept MID, but still haven’t been put into real use in the industry. So it seems that we still need to wait sometime before we could see Android clone phones that come with real Android. Now lets go back to this fake Android clone phone, Touch G2. Based on Hisilicon K3, It gets a 460MHZ processor, a 240×320 2.8-inch display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, WI-FI connectivity, 128M of RAM, 256M of ROM, Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and EDGE GSM supported. The price is 1280 Yuan (about $188). The video below is Chinese, but I think you’re still able to see how Touch G2 performs.
