Haier to launch 13.4” ultra thin ULV notebook Jian i7

Haier is going to launch its ULV platform based ultra thin notebook Jian i7. The Haier Jian i7 is only 3.2cm thick at its maximum( update: 1.88cm at average), weighing 1.4kg. we still don’t know when this notebooks is available and how much it will be priced , but the guys on zol.com.cn have got a prototype to review on their website. They even disassembled it to look close into its hardwares, and estimated it at about 6,000 Yuan (about $882). Haier Jian i7 features a 1.3GHz Intel core 2 Duo ULV SU7300 processor, 13.4 inch backlit LED, integrated Graphics, 2G DDR3 RAM, 320GB ROM, 3 USB2.0 ports, VGA port, HDMI port and a 4 cell 2900mAh Li-ion battery.

    3,2cm is NOT thin. I think here’s some kind of typo since LG E300 is about 3,4cm and that’s thick. Macbook unibody is about 2,4cm and that’s thin.

    I think there is a typo, the screen is not 1.34 inches (thick) but 13.4 inches in diagonal, Macbook unibodies have about 8mm (0.32 inches) screen thickness (just for info)…

    I don’t like the way they put i7 into the name of the notebook since it doesn’t house the i7 processor. I mean, what’s an Intel core 2 Duo thats running a sluggish 1.3Ghz doing inside a laptop with the name i7 in which they got from the Intel Core i7 which is a million times faster?

    behh same BS as all other companies. Why do they bother to show us pictures when you clearly can not buy them for several months and some cases year(s).

    Learn it from the master (Apple)!!! When apple shows you something it is usually backed up with a ready product.
