Iphone will hit China market as A1324 for China Unicom
From the information published by the China Ministry of Information Industry, A1324 has been already listed as an approved model. From the list below we can see that Iphone has got approved in 7 May, but as A1324. Apparently A represent Apple. Recently A1324 is being tested and in the proccess of getting certificated by the Ministry of Information Industry, and is supposed to get the network access license soon and hits the China market as a 3G phone customized for China Union .
A1324 is based on the iphone 3G, with GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCMDA networking and no front camera, so maybe video call is not available on this phone. A1324 equipped with a 3.5-inch 480 × 320 TFT Multi-touch display, a 2 megalpixel camera, built-in ipod. we still don’t know the WLAN, a feature Chinese users concerned very much, will be retained or not.
